Felwah Al-Hamed is a researcher at Center of Excellence for Telecom Applications, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She received her B.S. degree in Information Technology from King Saud University in 2013. Her research interests are in Internet of Things, software Engineering. Her peak of quality is in developing iOS applications. Amni mobile application was the first project she worked on for Civil Defense, she was both project manager and developer while Dr. Saleh AlHarthi was the principle investigator. Next, she worked on” Color Reader” research project with Dr.Hind AlKhalifa from King Saud University as principle investigator, they got a paper published under this topic along with an iOS application for detecting colors for visually impaired people. After then, she worked on the research “QR Code Text Encoding” with Dr.Amr AlAsaad, she designed an algorithm to enhance text encoding and they got a patent on, also a paper is accepted under the same topic. Last year, Internet of Things was a trendy topic; she made data-gathering phase with center’s colleagues in studying the relation between IoT and health care. While working on the project, they faced some difficulties in tasks distribution and follow up, which leads them to use their programming background in developing Ettifaq mobile application for tasks management. In the meantime, she is working on IoT project as a software engineer.
